This is in response to questions received from from GSA’s Lessor community regarding the effect of the current lapse in Federal appropriations on GSA leases. It is GSA’s expectation that landlords will continue to provide space and services to the Government in accordance with the specific terms and conditions of their particular leases during the period of the funding lapse. In addition, we are also aware of concerns from the Lessor community regarding GSA’s ability to make timely rent payments. It is our hope and expectation that the current funding lapse will be brief, and that GSA’s ability to make timely rental payments will not be affected.
